Yesterday a commenter posted that there is possibly a sushi restaurant going into the old Quizno’s space downtown at 322 W. Broadway Avenue. If it comes to fruition this is more great news for downtown.

Also revealed yesterday and reported in today’s Freeman was the not-so-exciting news that the grocery anchor at the Shoppes at the Fox River will be yet another Pick N’ Save. Unless it’s a Metro Market this is about exciting as getting another gas station or a bank. In other words, its nice because its a new business that brings tax revenue and ensures the TIF will be paid off in a timely manner, but I was hoping it would be a Sendiks…or even a nice Piggly Wiggly like the ones in Oconomowoc or Hartland. Instead we get another overpriced Pick n’ Save. Nonetheless this development is going to be a great addition to the south side of Waukesha.
